Accountant – FMCG Finance

About the role

The Accountant will join the finance function of a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) organization, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and supporting month‑end and year‑end processes. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Abu Dhabi and works closely with internal teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Process vendor invoices, manage accounts payable and perform vendor reconciliations.
• Handle customer invoicing, monitor accounts receivable and conduct receivable reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank statements and support cash‑flow monitoring.
• Prepare financial reports, assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CMA, CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Experience in accounting within FMCG, manufacturing or a similarly fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
