Accountant – General Ledger & Financial Reporting

About the role

The Accountant will manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate general ledger records, and support month‑end and year‑end reporting for AMAMF. This position ensures data integrity, compliance with accounting policies, and timely execution of accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record daily and month‑end journal entries in line with accounting policies.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with adjusting, accrual, and closing entries during period‑end cycles.
• Process supplier invoices, payment requests, and employee reimbursements, verifying supporting documents.
• Handle UAE VAT filing procedures and ensure compliance.
• Support invoicing, revenue recognition, and receivable follow‑up.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Compile data for audits, internal reviews, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate fixed‑asset accounting, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Perform bank and other account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend efficiency enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, general ledger operations, or financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA) preferred or in progress.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems is required.
