Accountant – Immediate Start (AR/AP, Odoo ERP)

About the role

The Accountant will manage the full accounts receivable and payable cycles, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. The role requires strong experience with Odoo ERP, excellent reconciliation skills, and the ability to support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer invoicing, payment posting, and AR reconciliations in Odoo ERP.
• Prepare AR aging reports, monitor collections, and provide forecasts to management.
• Handle supplier invoice verification, three‑way matching, and AP payments.
• Maintain vendor ledgers, reconcile supplier statements, and monitor AP aging.
• Generate financial reports, assist with budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, and support internal/external audits.
• Ensure correct VAT treatment on sales and purchase invoices and prepare documentation for VAT returns and corporate tax filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in account reconciliations and financial reporting.
