Accountant

About the role

Monjasa, a global partner in the oil and shipping industry, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work in a fast‑paced, international environment and collaborate with colleagues across the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyse financial information, prepare journal entries and post invoices, expense forms and requests.
• Handle stock accounts, daily closing tasks and reconcile G/L accounts.
• Maintain balance‑sheet accounts, ensure accounting controls and comply with policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly reporting for Middle East and Africa entities and support VAT filing and budgeting activities.

Required profile

• Relevant financial education or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and able to work independently under high responsibility.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with NAV (advantageous).
• Knowledge of accounting standards and VAT regulations.
