Accountant – Real Estate & Hospitality

About the role

Al Raya Group, a fast‑growing real estate and hospitality company, is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team in the UAE. You will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and help the company stay compliant with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting records and financial transactions.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, receipts and expense claims.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding receivables.
• Assist with monthly and year‑end closing activities and prepare supporting schedules.
• Produce financial reports and management accounts for senior management.
• Support payroll‑related accounting entries and reconciliations as needed.
• Assist external auditors during annual audits and provide required documentation.
• Manage UAE VAT accounting, returns preparation and related compliance.
• Identify discrepancies, follow up on accounting issues and support ad‑hoc finance tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Experience in real‑estate or hospitality sectors is a plus.
• Proficiency with Zoho Books (or a similar ERP) and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT; exposure to UAE Corporate Tax is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
