Accountant – Retail Supermarket (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Accountant to join our growing supermarket in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash‑flow management, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions, reconcile accounts and maintain ledgers.
• Prepare financial statements and regular management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, manage payables and receivables, and assist with budgeting and cost control.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations.
• Collaborate with store management and suppliers to resolve billing issues and improve financial processes.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to quickly learn UAE tax and audit requirements if not already familiar.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis and reporting.
