Accounting and Operations Specialist

About the role

Intesa Sanpaolo is hiring an Accounting and Operations Specialist in Abu Dhabi to support its Accounting and Operations team. The role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, efficient transaction processing and compliance with regulatory requirements. It covers accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting and audits, and month-end and year-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and local regulatory reports
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate execution
• Support the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports
• Ensure timely, error-free processing of remittances, loans, deposits, trade finance and treasury operations transactions
• Assist in implementing and monitoring operational policies and procedures
• Monitor and report on key operational metrics and performance indicators
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies
• Help identify, assess and mitigate operational risks
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Meet quality standards for customer service (internal and external) and keep accurate records of all transactions and operations

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or banking operations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Good understanding of accounting principles and banking operations

• Proficiency in accounting software
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite
