Accounting Manager – Power Generation & Water Desalination

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead financial accounting, reporting and tax coordination for TAQA Generation’s diverse portfolio of power generation and water desalination assets. The role ensures consistent IFRS‑compliant policies, robust controls and timely audit completion across the holding company, headquarters and operating entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial accounting for all entities, including general ledger integrity, journal entries, reconciliations and month/quarter/year‑end close.
• Maintain and enforce a unified accounting calendar to meet Group timelines.
• Validate periodic financial statements and reporting packs (monthly, quarterly, annual) for compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to operating companies, HQ finance teams and senior management.
• Support new project development, acquisitions and integration from an accounting and tax perspective.
• Prepare and deliver management and progress reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting within a multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdiction environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to apply consistent accounting treatments.
• Proven track record of managing month‑end close processes and delivering accurate financial statements.
• Experience coordinating tax matters and supporting acquisition integration.
