Accounting Specialist (Financial Accounting)

About the role

Nexus Solutions is looking for a Financial Accounting Specialist to own and execute core accounting operations across multiple business lines. The role ensures accurate financial records, disciplined reconciliations and timely financial reporting, with a strong sense of ownership and sound judgment applied to data integrity and complex reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Support external reporting and technical accounting compliance; prepare month-end reconciliations, schedules and records, and run balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Manage accounts receivable: billing, invoicing, AR aging, collections follow-up, revenue recognition and clean, auditable AR records
• Track retainer-based client accounts, time usage and costs, and prepare client-level profitability views
• Reconcile supplier invoices, update pricing databases and dashboards, and handle rate and pricing client communications
• Manage accounts payable and spend: invoice validation, posting, accruals, reversals and cost allocation
• Assist with crypto payment records, AML bot scans and corporate treasury functions
• Ensure IFRS and internal standards compliance, support tax reporting, prepare audit schedules and escalate control gaps
• Own payment operations across PSPs, banks and gateways, and reconcile deposits, payouts and fees

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 5+ years of total accounting experience, including at least 2+ years at a Senior Accountant level in a multi-entity or international environment
• Proven AR, AP, accrual accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience reconciling or assisting with corporate crypto operations
• Nice to have: Big 4 audit experience, multi-entity or multi-country accounting experience, iGaming or B2B aggregator experience, Sage and Zoho experience, and cash-flow forecasting and multi-currency treasury experience
