Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

Globe United FZE, which works across manufacturing, services and distribution with a focus on measurement and process instrumentation, is hiring a full-time, on-site Accounts Payable Accountant in Sharjah. The role handles supplier invoices, verifies their accuracy and coding, and ensures timely payments in line with company policy.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, verify their accuracy and coding, and ensure payments are made on time according to company policy.
• Carry out account reconciliation and maintain vendor records.
• Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Prepare payment runs and support month-end closing activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes while following internal controls and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• A relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
• Prior accounts payable experience in a corporate or industrial setting is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Finance and accounting skills with a solid understanding of basic financial principles.
• Experience in invoice processing and invoicing, including verification, coding and payment scheduling.
• Account reconciliation, including vendor statements and general ledger accounts.
• Good knowledge of ERP or accounting software and MS Excel for data entry, analysis and reporting.
