Adjunct Faculty – Computer Science & Engineering

About the role

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the American University of Sharjah seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses starting Fall Semester 2027. This full‑time teaching appointment focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction in computer science and engineering subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Teach one to two courses per semester on campus, delivering lectures, labs, and assessments.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and grading rubrics.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic events.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience with a substantial portfolio of courses taught.
• Familiarity with the American model of higher education is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the Sharjah campus.
