AI Application Development Engineer Graduate – Corporate Service System (Procurement)

About the role

ByteDance is building an AI‑native procurement platform and seeks a graduate engineer to help design and operate intelligent Procurement Agents. You will work within the Corporate Information department, contributing to a system that improves global business efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core services, business logic, data flows and integrations for AI‑native procurement.
• Explore and implement AI Agent capabilities such as planning, tool use, memory and multi‑step reasoning, turning research into production‑grade features.
• Prototype quickly, evaluate emerging AI techniques and translate promising ideas into practical product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to solve complex, ambiguous problems and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, eligible for the 2027 campus hiring program.
• Strong logical thinking, independent problem‑breakdown ability and a genuine passion for frontier AI technologies.
• Ability to commit to an onboarding date by the end of the year and clearly state availability and graduation date.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Golang, Java, Python.
• Solid system design and coding implementation capabilities.
• Experience with AI‑related projects, LLM‑based systems, prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), tool/function calling or agent orchestration frameworks.
