Assistant / Associate / Professor – Business & Finance

About the role

The University of Manchester – Dubai is seeking experienced academics to join its Business & Finance faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, research‑informed teaching, maintain an active research profile, and contribute to programme development and academic governance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver teaching that meets University of Manchester academic standards and supports student success through advising, supervision and mentoring.
• Design, develop and continuously improve curriculum, assessment and learning materials, including digital and applied learning approaches.
• Maintain an active research agenda aligned with institutional priorities, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and integrate research into teaching.
• Engage with industry, government and professional bodies to support applied research and enhance student employability.
• Participate in academic governance, quality assurance, accreditation processes and collaborative service activities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Business, Finance or a closely related discipline.
• Strong, demonstrable research track record appropriate to the appointed level (Assistant, Associate or Professor).
• Experience in postgraduate teaching within the United Arab Emirates.
• Excellent communication and academic delivery skills.
• Eligibility to reside in the United Arab Emirates and attested academic qualifications recognised by UAE authorities.
