Assistant Head Coach - Cricket (Part-Time)

About the role

A new senior men's cricket club in Dubai is building its squad for the 2026/27 season and is looking for a committed, proactive Assistant Head Coach to work closely with the Head Coach. The role is part-time, based in Dubai, and focuses on player development, effective training sessions and supporting the club's competitive programme. The expected start date is November–December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and delivering cricket training sessions three evenings per week in Dubai.
• Conduct and manage batting and bowling nets, throw-downs, fielding drills and wicket-keeping practice.
• Support player trials, talent identification, squad selection and player development.
• Help with match-day preparation, team coordination and on-field support.
• Maintain accurate records of player availability, attendance and training schedules.
• Identify areas for improvement and suggest new drills, strategies and training methods.
• Work with the Head Coach to keep the team positive, disciplined and performance-focused.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cricket coaching, preferably in a competitive club or senior cricket environment.
• ICC, ECB, Cricket Australia Level 1 coaching qualification or higher.
• Valid UAE residence visa.
• Availability for weekday evening training sessions in Dubai; part-time coaching contract.
• Shortlisted candidates meet the Head Coach in person in Dubai.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of cricket techniques, training methods and player development.
• Practical experience conducting nets, throw-downs, fielding drills and wicket-keeping sessions.
• Ability to support player assessments, trials, team selection and match-day activities.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
