About the role
The Assistant Manager, Food Safety will support the Factory Quality Assurance Manager in driving continuous improvement of food safety and quality culture across the Nestlé manufacturing site in Dubai. This role works closely with all factory functions to achieve food‑safety targets, ensure compliance with local regulations, and embed best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Promote food‑safety awareness and develop competence across the factory.
- Coordinate implementation of FSSC 22000 requirements and manage the continuous improvement cycle of the Food Safety Management System.
- Maintain digital HACCP studies, validation, verification and ensure they meet Dubai Municipality Food Code and other local regulations.
- Support Nestlé Continuous Excellence initiatives, including root‑cause analysis for food‑safety incidents.
- Lead foreign‑body prevention activities, investigations and equipment management.
- Develop and cascade SOPs and work instructions for allergen management, foreign‑body checklists, and other prerequisite programs.
- Integrate food‑safety requirements into new product and process development projects.
- Implement and maintain the Food Defense Plan in coordination with stakeholders.
- Deliver training on basic food hygiene, HACCP, food defense, allergen management and foreign‑body prevention.
- Oversee pathogen monitoring to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Conduct Good Manufacturing audits and verify effective implementation of HACCP, allergen management and foreign‑body controls.
Required profile
- University graduate, preferably in Food Science or a related field.
- Proven experience implementing food‑safety and quality‑assurance programs.
- Experience participating in project teams, leading change initiatives, and supporting audit or improvement projects.
