Assistant Manager – Production (Ready‑Mix Concrete)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Production will oversee the daily output of ready‑mix concrete at an assigned batching plant, ensuring that quantity, quality, and customer specifications are met while staying within budget. The role focuses on efficient resource use, safety compliance, and continuous improvement of production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor plant operations, production output and operational targets, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Analyse process performance, equipment efficiency and quality data to maximise capacity.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the Maintenance Department to minimise downtime.
• Plan raw‑material and consumable requirements and liaise with suppliers to maintain stock levels.
• Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled and resolve complaints independently or with other departments.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports and documentation for management review.
• Prepare the annual production plan and obtain approval from the Production Manager.
• Align production activities with company objectives and monitor performance trends for cost optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 5–7 years of experience in ready‑mix concrete or construction material production.
• Certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 are advantageous.
