Assistant Manager – Reporting

About the role

Intelligent Solutions is hiring an Assistant Manager – Reporting in Dubai, UAE, to support the financial reporting and accounting function of a well-established organisation. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and effective management of accounting processes, working closely with senior finance leadership on accounting operations, reporting and audit coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Review and reconcile accounting processes before final approval by senior management
• Support the preparation and finalisation of quarterly and annual financial statements
• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and review journal entries, postings and financial data
• Perform preliminary reviews of AR, AP and General Ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee cash, bank and trial balance reconciliations, and reinsurance and third-party insurer accounts
• Guide accounting team members, including training on systems and procedures
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit fieldwork
• Ensure accurate data entry and ERP use, and support compliance with financial policies and regulations
• Assist in implementing finance initiatives and process improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CA or CPA preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in the insurance sector, with supervisory exposure
• Experience managing accounting processes, reporting and reconciliations
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with good communication and stakeholder management

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 (mandatory)
• Experience with financial ERP systems
