Assistant Manager – Risk Advisory (Arabic required)

About the role

BDO UAE is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Risk Advisory team in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering risk advisory engagements, supporting business development, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of smaller risk advisory engagements from client acceptance to final reporting and archiving.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with project leaders on larger engagements.
• Organise staffing, track fees, and communicate financial issues to project leaders.
• Support business development initiatives and build strong internal relationships across service divisions.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Adhere to workplace policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, enterprise risk management, policy development, ICOFR, external quality assessment or compliance management.
• Technical knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards, COSO, ISO 31000 and other internal control frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with data‑analytics and technology tools on audit and advisory projects.
• Experience across three or more sectors, including government or semi‑government.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations (ADAA, CMA/SCA) is preferred.
• Prior consulting experience leading audit and advisory projects.
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CIA.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Fluent Arabic is mandatory.
