Assistant Material Handling

About the role

The Assistant Material Handling role supports the movement of commercial items such as boxes, pallets, and cages between the logistics centre and destination locations within the airport environment. You will ensure that deliveries are performed safely, securely, and on time, while assisting concessionaires with any required item transfers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods from concession partners and arrange them in staging or storage according to guidelines.
• Verify quantity and quality of incoming deliveries and label each product appropriately.
• Prepare goods for customs scanning and load them onto refrigerated vans or trucks after gantry scanning.
• Deliver goods to concessionaires within agreed timeframes.
• Assist with sorting, de‑boxing, and moving pallets/materials on the plant floor.
• Follow proper trailer loading/unloading lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Maintain high quality standards and comply with HSE requirements, including OSHAD/ISO 18001:2007 and AD PORTS QHSSE policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Good English communication skills; knowledge of a sub‑continent Asian language is a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience in warehousing or material handling.
• Basic knowledge of warehousing practices and use of warehouse machinery/tools.
