Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Medical Imaging

About the role

Dubai Medical University is recruiting an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Medical Imaging in Dubai. The role combines teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Medical Imaging, research and scholarly activity, and service within the College of Health Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Medical Imaging and related subjects in line with the College of Health Sciences curricula, preparing and updating course materials, delivering lectures, tutorials and workshops.
• Incorporate active learning, interprofessional education and technology-enhanced instruction, and advise and mentor students.
• Supervise student research projects and assessments.
• Publish regularly in peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed journals and present research at professional conferences.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary research teams, seek external funding and supervise undergraduate and/or postgraduate research projects.
• Take part in departmental and college committees, accreditation and quality assurance processes, and engage in professional and community service.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Medical Imaging or a relevant field.
• Associate Professor: minimum 5 years of teaching and research experience in higher education after the terminal degree, with a solid publication record and evidence of professional and academic achievement.
• Assistant Professor: demonstrated potential in teaching, research and service; previous higher education or postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, commitment to excellence in teaching, research and community engagement.
• Familiarity with international accreditation standards and quality assurance in Health Sciences education.
