About the role
The Assistant Sales Manager (Events) supports the Sales & Marketing team at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, handling guest inquiries, reservations and revenue‑maximising sales techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Contact relevant departments to resolve guest calls, requests or problems.
- Use sales techniques, including up‑selling, to maximise revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
- Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail.
- Enter Marriott Rewards information into the appropriate software and manage reward redemptions.
- Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing, such as filing, emailing and typing.
- Assist management in training and motivating employees, acting as a role model.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related work experience in sales or hospitality.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
