Assistant Store Manager – Beauty Salon

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, customer‑focused Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operation of one of our premium beauty salons. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will ensure every client receives a premium experience while driving sales performance and maintaining high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the salon.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience from check‑in through to check‑out.
• Manage appointments, optimise the salon schedule and ensure artists’ diaries run efficiently.
• Handle client enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Support team rotas, annual leave and appointment scheduling.
• Complete daily financial reconciliation and ensure accurate sales records.
• Drive retail sales, treatment packages and upselling opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance and support action plans to achieve targets.
• Conduct daily team briefings to communicate sales targets, promotions and updates.
• Maintain accurate client records and keep consultation forms and profiles up to date.
• Support inventory management to maintain retail and professional stock levels.
• Proactively manage maintenance issues and uphold presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, operational procedures, hygiene standards and government regulations.
• Step into Front of House duties as needed and support all areas of the business.
• Lead by example, motivate the team and contribute to a positive, high‑performing salon culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management or senior Front of House role within the beauty, spa, hospitality or luxury retail industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and memorable client experiences.
• Commercially minded with a proven ability to drive sales, retail performance and team targets.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience using salon booking systems and reporting software.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
