Assistant Supervisor – Packaging

About the role

The Assistant Supervisor – Packaging supports safe, efficient and cGMP‑compliant operation of pharmaceutical packaging lines at Julphar. You will coordinate packaging staff, oversee line clearance, setup and documentation, and ensure material reconciliation while monitoring output and reporting any deviations.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to cGMP principles and follow gowning procedures as defined in SOPs.
• Ensure team compliance with EMS and HSE requirements through monitoring, training and guidance.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Organise the packaging line according to SOPs and verify equipment and tools are clean before start‑up.
• Distribute work to packaging employees and monitor hourly line capacity to maximise efficiency.
• Perform line‑clearance activities, line setup, start‑up, material reconciliation and destruction, completing all required documentation.
• Complete batch documentation for the assigned shift and report any mistakes or technical faults to the Team Leader or Specialist.
• Support departmental initiatives to improve environmental performance and strengthen HSE culture.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum Higher Secondary School qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
