Calibration Assistant Engineer

About the role

The Calibration Assistant Engineer ensures that all instruments and testing devices used in Julphar’s manufacturing plants and R&D laboratories are calibrated accurately and remain compliant with cGMP, ISO 17025, safety and quality standards. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to maintain measurement integrity and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibration of instruments and testing devices according to established standards, ensuring accurate readings.
• Document calibration activities, prepare calibration records, label instruments, and close SAP notifications on the same day.
• Support engineering maintenance tasks and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate third‑party calibration and maintenance, review raw data and certificates, and upload them to SAP.
• Close monthly M5 notifications for calibrated reference standards and follow up on any remedial actions.
• Prepare and submit monthly KPI reports to the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements, good documentation practices, and ISO 17025 guidelines.
• Understanding of measurement‑uncertainty calculations and calibration standards.
• Good English communication, problem‑solving, time‑management and task‑management skills.
