Assistant Technician – Water Network Pump Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Technician – Water Network Pump Mechanic to perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on a variety of pumps and related hydraulic equipment at Dubai Airports. The role involves working both independently and as part of a technical team to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and carry out major and minor repairs on pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls and valves.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, engines and compressors.
• Follow all technical and safety instructions, including electrical isolations and LOTO procedures.
• Interpret electrical drawings and use test equipment to verify system functionality.

Required profile

• Industrial Training Institute Diploma (3‑year) in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in pump repair or a similar environment.
• IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent.
• Current valid UAE driving licence (desirable).

Required skills

• Pump and hydraulic equipment maintenance.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Use of electrical test equipment on low‑voltage systems.
• Knowledge of LV equipment safety procedures (LOTO, isolations).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
