Assistant Training Manager

About the role

The Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a 240-room hotel with 84 one-bedroom apartments and extensive meeting facilities, is looking for an Assistant Training Manager. The role supports the Training Manager in building an engaging, empowering learning environment that helps colleagues reach their potential and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in new hire orientation and onboarding so colleagues understand IHG brand standards, hotel policies and service culture.
• Support the planning, development and delivery of training materials, presentations, learning guides and visual aids.
• Help conduct training needs analysis across departments and recommend learning solutions.
• Coordinate and run training sessions, workshops and development programmes, including leadership development for supervisors and managers.
• Maintain the Departmental Trainer programme and run training audits, service observations and spot coaching.
• Support talent development, succession planning and career progression, and track individual development plans and training records.
• Monitor IHG University compliance, including mandatory course completion and overdue learning activities.
• Maintain training records and certification databases, and coordinate renewals and assessments.
• Prepare training calendars, reports, attendance records and compliance updates, and liaise with external training providers and certification bodies.
• Develop cross-training programmes and assist the Training Manager with hotel-wide learning and development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Training & Development, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Learning & Development or Training, preferably in hospitality, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of training methodologies, talent development and performance management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coach and inspire colleagues.
