Assistant Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

Gulf Warehousing Company is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Team Leader in Are to support the Warehouse Team Leader in managing daily warehouse and dark store operations for quick commerce projects. The role ensures efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, picking, packing and dispatch within defined service level agreements (SLAs), while supervising warehouse associates, keeping stock accurate and ensuring compliance with operational procedures, safety standards and customer service requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Team Leader in day-to-day warehouse and dark store operations.
• Supervise and coordinate staff on receiving, put-away, picking, packing, replenishment and dispatch.
• Ensure quick commerce orders are processed accurately and dispatched within SLAs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock audits and discrepancy reporting.
• Keep fast-moving products replenished and ensure timely stock availability.
• Coordinate with 3PL partners, delivery teams and other departments to resolve operational issues.
• Monitor attendance, shift allocation, productivity and work performance.
• Enforce FIFO and FEFO practices, product quality standards and procedures for damaged or expired items.
• Maintain housekeeping, hygiene, safety and operational discipline.
• Prepare daily operational reports on order fulfilment, inventory discrepancies, productivity and pending activities.
• Identify operational gaps and support continuous improvement, and follow company policies and health and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant warehouse operations experience.
• Preferred: experience in 3PL, quick commerce, e-commerce or dark store operations.
• Advantageous: previous experience in team coordination or staff supervision.
