Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Material Chemistry

About the role

The United Arab Emirates University is inviting applications for a faculty position at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in Material Chemistry. Preference goes to candidates whose research focuses on materials for renewable energy applications. Successful candidates must show a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at graduate and undergraduate levels, and a robust research record with the capacity to run an internally and externally funded programme, publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and contribute to the university's growth.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in materials science, physics and inorganic chemistry
• Mentor and guide students in research projects and supervise their theses
• Develop and revise courses
• Collaborate with external researchers and support colleagues in research and co-curricular activities

Required profile

• PhD in materials, physical or inorganic chemistry
• At least two years of teaching experience at a higher education institution
• Strong publication record in Scopus-indexed Q1 journals
• Experience securing research grants and supervising students
• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster a collaborative educational environment
