Associate – Audit & Assurance (Financial Instruments) – Dubai

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Associate in Audit & Assurance focused on Financial Instruments to join its Dubai office. You will work on external audit engagements, supporting treasury and derivative accounting, and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with financial instrument testing, documentation, and control testing across the treasury lifecycle.
• Support hedge accounting and derivative valuation analyses, including IFRS 9/FRS 102 applications and impairment models.
• Research accounting treatment for treasury transactions and summarize technical findings for senior review.
• Participate in audit delivery from planning through reporting, performing procedures on derivative valuations and related disclosures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and build relationships with corporate clients.
• Apply AI tools in audit contexts, ensuring professional scepticism and compliance with responsible AI guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and work effectively in a team.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (reading, speaking, writing).
