Associate Director – Corporate & Institutional Banking (UAE National)

About the role

HSBC is seeking an ambitious UAE National to join its Corporate and Institutional Banking team in Dubai as an Associate Director. The role supports senior relationship managers in building and maintaining long‑term relationships with large UAE corporate clients, while contributing to revenue growth and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact, alongside the relationship manager, for client and internal service requests.
• Prepare briefing notes for client meetings and conduct high‑quality credit analysis, including financial, industry and competitor reviews.
• Draft credit application remarks for new opportunities and annual reviews.
• Submit credit risk returns, monitor limit excesses, and produce monthly credit control reports.
• Coordinate with Credit Operations, Risk, and product partners to meet client needs and KYC requirements.
• Assist in developing strategies to enhance relationship profitability and early identification of credit issues.
• Support revenue targets, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment initiatives.

Required profile

• UAE National with a strong interest in corporate banking.
• Experience in credit analysis, portfolio management or related banking functions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global relationship and product teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Credit analysis and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of KYC and credit risk procedures.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
