Associate Internal Audit (IT Background)

About the role

Al Etihad Payments is seeking an Associate Internal Audit professional with an IT background to support the Head of Internal Audit. The role involves planning, executing and following‑up on audit engagements across the organization’s technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform audits of general controls, application controls, cybersecurity, data privacy and IT infrastructure.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes and recommend improvements.
• Review project governance for IT‑related initiatives and suggest enhancements.
• Test controls over ERP systems, databases and network security, identifying weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop audit programs and evaluate business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations.
• Communicate results to stakeholders, follow up on remediation and collaborate with external auditors and security teams.
• Monitor performance of internal audit service providers against SLAs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, IT audit or related areas.
• CISA certification is an advantage.
