Associate - Investment

About the role

The Investment & Development Office of Ras Al Khaimah is looking for an Associate to help optimise the performance of its existing portfolio and to execute M&A transactions at both the IDO and portfolio‑company levels. Reporting to Investment Directors and VPs, the Associate will own the analytical work and drive transaction processes from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Build the analytical basis for performance‑improvement initiatives and work with senior leaders to implement them.
• Conduct industry and company research for portfolio reviews and Investment Committee submissions.
• Consolidate management and operational data from operating companies using prescribed templates.
• Prepare and present Investment Committee and Portfolio Review Committee documents.
• Lead M&A transactions, coordinate workstreams, and manage third‑party advisors.
• Develop full financial models, projections, and valuations to support each deal.
• Perform due‑diligence research and support commercial and financial assessments.
• Provide periodic analysis and commentary to the Rating department on government financial performance.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the direction of Investment Directors and VPs.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in portfolio management or transaction support.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with portfolio‑company management and advisors.
