Associate Producer

About the role

As an Associate Producer on the CNN Abu Dhabi Features team, you will help turn story ideas into compelling television, digital and social content. Working closely with senior producers, photojournalists and other creative partners, you will support the full production cycle from research and pitching to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Research, develop and pitch original story ideas aligned with current affairs.
• Assist senior producers in planning and executing shoots, including call sheets, schedules, travel arrangements and permits.
• Write and refine scripts, collaborating with producers to craft innovative content.
• Coordinate filming logistics for field and studio productions.
• Source archive material, fact‑check information and ensure editorial accuracy.
• Produce high‑quality output while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Contribute ideas to improve workflows, production processes and team output.
• Support organization of media assets and archives as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in production, scripting, journalism, digital media or television content creation.
• Strong editorial judgement and passion for storytelling.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and communicate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understanding of digital and social storytelling trends.
• Willingness to learn new skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with filming equipment.
