Associate Professor – Educational Leadership

About the role

The Department of Learning and Educational Leadership at United Arab Emirates University seeks a full‑time Associate Professor to strengthen its graduate and undergraduate programmes. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community dedicated to research, teaching and service in educational leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including Master’s and Doctoral programmes in Educational Leadership.
• Advise and mentor Master’s and Doctoral students, supervising theses, dissertations and graduation projects.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and pursue external funding through grants.
• Develop interdisciplinary collaborations within the College, across the university and with international partners.
• Build partnerships with schools and educational organisations and contribute to continuous programme improvement.
• Provide service to the department, college, university and the broader educational community, including organising professional workshops.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
• Strong record of scholarly publications in peer‑reviewed (preferably Scopus‑indexed Q1/Q2) journals.
• Demonstrated excellence in university‑level teaching and experience supervising graduate research.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in teaching, research and service.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic proficiency and knowledge of the UAE education system are a plus.
