Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology

About the role

City University Ajman is looking for an experienced Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology to lead teaching, clinical supervision, research and quality assurance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology, integrating evidence‑based teaching methods and real‑world clinical examples.
• Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and evidence‑based interventions (especially CBT) and supervise students during field placements.
• Conduct scholarly research, publish in indexed journals, and mentor student research projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, program reviews and accreditation processes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organisations to enhance practical training opportunities.

Required profile

• PhD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
• Valid clinical psychology licence (MOHAP, DHA or DoH preferred).
• Extensive practical experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis and CBT‑based therapy.
• Proven record of university‑level teaching, clinical training and student supervision.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

• Research methodology and psychometric assessment.
• Scholarly writing for Scopus‑indexed journals.
