Aviation Aeronautics Teacher

About the role

Byron Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic Aviation/Aeronautics Teacher to join a school in Abu Dhabi from 26 October. The role combines classroom teaching with real‑world industry insight to inspire students about aviation careers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering principles of flight, aircraft systems, navigation, meteorology, flight safety, aerospace technology and aviation operations.
• Create a learning environment that encourages inquiry, problem‑solving and applied technical understanding.
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, practical activities and examinations, providing timely feedback.
• Integrate current industry developments and real‑world case studies into instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics or a related field.
• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or equivalent certification.
• Formal teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, B.Ed, or a valid national teaching license).
• Demonstrated ability to teach aviation or aeronautics concepts clearly and effectively.

Required skills

• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification
• Strong subject knowledge in aviation theory and applied aeronautics
• Ability to use instructional strategies for diverse learning styles
