AVP & Audit Manager – Investment Banking & Credit

About the role

The AVP & Audit Manager will lead and participate in audits across Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking and Credit functions within the FAB Group. The role provides assurance to senior management by identifying weaknesses, reporting findings and driving corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of IB, WB (including Global Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance) and credit risk activities across UAE and international locations.
• Report significant audit findings promptly and agree on action plans with business owners.
• Serve as the primary liaison with IB, WB and Credit departments, offering advice to influence change.
• Guide junior auditors, provide on‑the‑job training and promote knowledge sharing.
• Monitor financial performance of audit areas against budgets and report variances.
• Maintain the audit universe and coordinate coverage with other audit teams.
• Assist senior audit leadership with special investigations and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in audit, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of corporate banking products, credit risk management and regulatory environments in the UAE and other jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to communicate findings to senior management and influence outcomes.
• Leadership skills to mentor junior staff and drive team objectives.
