B1 Certifying Engineer – Jakarta Recruitment Event

About the role

The B1 Certifying Engineer will perform and supervise line and base‑level maintenance on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft under the CAR 66 “B1” licence category. The role is linked to an invitation‑only recruitment event in Jakarta, Indonesia, scheduled for the first week of September 2026. Candidates must be able to attend the event if shortlisted.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Maintenance Manager to understand work scope, priorities and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, ensuring correct parts, tools and ground support equipment are used.
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, record defects or damage according to approved procedures.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects following Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within the authorised B1 licence scope, confirming completion of all required documentation.
• Coordinate communications with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless hand‑over of work.
• Apply mandatory safety precautions and manage human‑factors aspects during maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Valid CAR 66 B1 licence (or equivalent) authorised to certify line and base‑level aircraft maintenance.
• Availability to travel to Jakarta for the recruitment event in early September 2026.
• Experience in performing and supervising aircraft maintenance tasks on commercial aircraft.
• Strong understanding of maintenance documentation, task cards and regulatory compliance.
