B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician – GCAA/EASA with Global/Challenger Type Rating

About the role

Bombardier is launching a new state‑of‑the‑art Service Center at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi. The centre will provide advanced MRO capabilities for the entire Bombardier aircraft portfolio. We are seeking an experienced B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Middle‑East aftermarket team and ensure the highest standards of safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft, documenting work per manuals and regulations.
• Perform complete engine runs, complex system repairs, and supervise mechanics during maintenance tasks.
• Release and sign‑off maintenance tasks performed by self or under supervision, supporting Certifying Staff Category C.
• Provide training, coaching and support to junior staff and assist with time estimates.
• Conduct off‑site maintenance and travel on short notice as required.

Required profile

• Valid GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License – B2 (and/or C).
• Type‑rated on Bombardier Challenger and Global series aircraft.
• Minimum 5 years experience on Bombardier Global/Challenger aircraft, with a track record of signing off airworthiness.
• Current knowledge of Appendix I to Part‑66, Part‑M, Part‑145 and related regulations.
• Understanding of human factors, EWIS and CDCCL where applicable.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings and maintenance data.
• Proficiency with standard and special tools, ground support equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication of aircraft status.
• Ability to work shifts, including occasional night shifts, and travel on short notice.
