Backend Developer (Node.js/TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain robust server‑side services. You will work within an established architecture, delivering well‑tested features independently while collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
• Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs with validation, error handling, authentication, and logging.
• Contribute to frontend work with React and TypeScript when end‑to‑end features require it.
• Write automated tests, perform peer code reviews, and ensure high code quality.
• Follow Git‑based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver complete features.
• Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of applications.
• Maintain coding standards, documentation, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience, primarily with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to deliver features independently.
• Experience working in agile product development environments.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
