About the role

BeatBAB is a hospitality concept combining tapas, expressive drinks and an analog listening culture, described as a cultural platform rather than just a restaurant or bar. The Bar Manager oversees all aspects of bar operations, team management, financial performance and strategic initiatives, balancing operational excellence with leadership development, guest experience and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, set SOPs and quality assurance processes, manage scheduling and shifts, and enforce responsible alcohol service
• Recruit, train and evaluate bar staff; run mixology and product knowledge training and build development plans
• Create signature cocktails, curate wine, spirit and beer selections, and lead mixology training and certifications
• Engage guests, promote new drinks and events, maintain VIP relationships, coordinate with marketing and act on guest feedback
• Manage the bar budget, forecast and KPIs such as beverage and pour costs, handle cash, reconcile and negotiate with suppliers

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional bartending experience, including 2-3 years in a bar management or supervisory role
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred
• Valid food handler certification and knowledge of alcohol service laws required
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

• Advanced mixology and beverage knowledge (cocktails, spirits, wines, pairings)
• POS systems, inventory management software and financial analysis
• Cost control, inventory management and bar operations
• Certification in mixology or advanced beverage management preferred
