Bartender

About the role

Pullman Dubai Downtown, a 5-star hotel in the Business Bay district near the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and the downtown area, is hiring a Bartender. You will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests in line with the hotel's standards and service procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers and other drinks according to recipes and hotel standards, ensuring consistent quality, presentation and taste.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests and complaints, escalating issues to the supervisor or manager when needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the bar counter, workstations, refrigerators and storage areas.
• Monitor stock levels of beverages, garnishes and supplies and report shortages; ensure proper sanitation of bar equipment and utensils.
• Follow safe handling and storage procedures for beverages and ingredients, and report equipment faults, safety hazards and incidents promptly.
• Process guest orders accurately through the hotel's Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash, credit card transactions and guest bills.
• Minimise waste through accurate portion control and follow cost-control measures to prevent loss of stock.
• Comply with hotel hygiene, food safety, health and safety policies, and adhere to grooming, uniform and personal hygiene standards.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience as a Bartender in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of beverages.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
