Basic Machine Operator

About the role

The Industrial Engineer role at Lipton Teas and Infusions involves evaluating existing processes and systems to identify cost‑saving and quality improvement opportunities. The position focuses on optimizing manufacturing efficiency, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards within the Dubai factory.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to health, safety, food safety and environmental procedures, monitor product quality and report any faults.
• Operate machinery according to instructions, set process parameters, perform minor adjustments, blend and format changeovers, and maintain line cleanliness.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous‑improvement projects, measure performance, and drive resource optimisation.
• Ensure machinery safety checks and CRQS are performed as scheduled.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment with high safety and quality standards.
• Experience with teabag technologies (Perfecta, IMA) and filling, overwrapping or case‑packing equipment is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Familiarity with Perfecta and IMA teabag machines
• Basic computer proficiency
• Fundamental mechanical knowledge and problem‑solving in a factory setting
