Bid Officer

About the role

As a Bid Officer at Giesecke+Devrient in Dubai, you will lead the end‑to‑end bid process, shaping strategies and delivering competitive offers for complex tenders in the security and payments sector.

Key responsibilities

• Define bid strategy in alignment with the Bid Core Team and manage the full bid lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal departments and local entities to develop cost‑optimized, custom solutions.
• Prepare bid structures, calculations, and bid‑no‑bid decisions for board review.
• Manage commercial, legal, and technical aspects of tenders, involving experts such as tax, legal, and compliance.
• Support financing instruments (guarantees, bid‑bonds, letters of credit) and coordinate contract drafts.
• Lead bid team meetings, conduct risk assessments, and ensure smooth handover to execution teams.

Required profile

• International Business Administration background with strong ability to work under time pressure.
• Project management and insurance experience.
• Profound commercial understanding, including financial KPIs and instruments.
• Analytical mindset for reporting and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
