BIM Coordinator

About the role

The BIM Coordinator will lead the coordination of Building Information Modelling across architectural, structural and MEP disciplines for design‑and‑build projects in the UAE education sector. The role ensures accurate models, clash resolution and supports design development, construction execution and project handover.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models, review for accuracy and compliance, and conduct regular coordination meetings.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks Manage, generate reports, assign issues and monitor their closure.
• Work with design managers, engineers and site teams to align BIM requirements with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Implement the BIM Execution Plan, maintain model registers, clash logs and use a Common Data Environment for controlled information sharing.
• Support production and review of coordinated drawings, shop drawings and as‑built models.
• Monitor BIM deliverables against project milestones, report progress and flag risks that could affect construction sequencing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of BIM coordination experience in the UAE construction industry, preferably with design‑and‑build projects.
• Proven experience coordinating architectural, structural and MEP models on complex building projects such as schools or universities.

Required skills

• Autodesk Revit – model review, coordination and updates.
• Navisworks Manage – model federation, clash detection and reporting.
• AutoCAD – drawing review and coordination.
• BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud or equivalent CDE platform.
