BIM Engineer – Dry Utilities

About the role

Parsons is seeking a BIM Engineer specialized in dry utilities to support utility infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves creating, managing and coordinating 3D BIM models for power, street lighting, telecommunications and related networks while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D BIM models for power distribution, street lighting, telecommunications and related networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate dry utilities with roads, structures, landscape and drainage in coordinated models.
• Perform clash detection, model reviews and design coordination using BIM platforms such as Revit, Navisworks and Civil 3D.
• Generate detailed drawings, utility layouts, schedules and documentation directly from BIM models.
• Maintain model quality and compliance with client standards and company procedures.
• Utilize digital twin, automation and AI‑enabled tools to improve project delivery and coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and UAE National (Emirati) status.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior BIM or utility project experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Basic understanding of dry utility systems such as power distribution, street lighting and telecommunications.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows, model coordination and clash detection processes.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
