BIM Modeller – AI Product Platform

About the role

Janus Digital is building an AI‑driven BIM platform to accelerate the creation of high‑detail MEP models for commercial buildings. The BIM Modeller will split time between producing production‑grade models and evaluating AI tools to shape the platform’s roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Produce federated MEP models (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, ELV) to LOD 350‑400 for offices, retail, hospitality, mixed‑use and data‑centre projects.
• Apply AI and automation across the workflow – auto‑routing, family generation, drawing automation, model checking and scan‑to‑BIM.
• Write and maintain Dynamo and pyRevit/Python scripts, leveraging LLM assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and BIM Collaborate Pro, and manage BIM execution plans (BEPs, MIDPs/TIDPs) following ISO 19650.
• Map the AI‑for‑AEC landscape, evaluate emerging tools on real project data and translate findings into product requirements.

Required profile

• 6+ years of BIM modelling experience with at least 4 years focused on MEP in commercial projects.
• Portfolio of coordinated LOD 350+ MEP models on a minimum of three delivered commercial projects.
• Proven delivery on ISO 19650 projects, including multidisciplinary clash coordination.
• Demonstrable use of scripting or AI tools to accelerate modelling, with before‑and‑after performance evidence.

Required skills

• Expert in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and proficient in AutoCAD.
• Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM Collaborate Pro.
• Dynamo scripting and working knowledge of Python; experience with pyRevit and Revit API.
• Daily use of LLM assistants for scripting, documentation and research.

What we offer

• Option to work from Janus Digital’s UAE office or fully remote within a ±4 hour Gulf Standard Time window.
• Opportunity to influence a cutting‑edge AI BIM platform and work directly with the Chief Platform/Product Officer.
