BIM/CAD Technician (Drainage)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled BIM/CAD Technician to join its Storm Water Drainage team in Dubai. You will work on design and drafting assignments, supporting BIM processes from project start‑up to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.
• Develop engineering drawings, layouts, flow sheets, isometrics and component details using CAD workstations.
• Manage all BIM‑related activities, including model creation, LOD compliance, and clash detection.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation and adherence to QA/QC standards.
• Create parametric and non‑parametric families and produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 + years of CAD drafting experience in wet utilities projects within the MEA/UAE region.
• Proficiency with Microstation, Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes, LOD requirements and clash detection.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
