BOP Technician

About the role

We are seeking a BOP Technician to support safe and efficient drilling operations in Abu Dhabi. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and testing blowout preventer (BOP) systems on rigs and subsea equipment while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Use testing and diagnostic tools to conduct BOP inspections.
• Operate hydraulic pressure testing units and BOP test pumps.
• Maintain high‑pressure control systems and subsea equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and update the CMMS.
• Train and mentor junior technicians.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in hazardous and remote environments.
• Capability to train and mentor junior staff.
