Business Development Manager – Wines, Spirits & Beverage Imports

About the role

A leading GCC port operator is looking for a Business Development Manager in Ras Al Khaimah to bring international alcohol and beverage brands, distributors and importers into its network. The manager sells the port operator's handling, bonded storage and duty clearance services, not the products themselves.

Key responsibilities

• Win brand owners, distributors and importers as customers
• Set pricing and commercial terms and close agreements
• Advise clients on local alcohol import, duty and clearance requirements
• Grow volumes and revenue from the accounts won

Required profile

• 8+ years in the alcohol and beverage industry in this market, including at least 4 years in business development, trade or commercial roles
• Proven record of closing deals and generating revenue
• Must be locally based; retail, hospitality or on-trade sales experience is not accepted

Required skills

• Working knowledge of local alcohol duties, customs regulations and clearance procedures
• Established relationships with international alcohol brand owners, distributors or importers
• Experience in international beverage import, logistics or distribution
